Leg length discrepancy
True leg length discrepancy (structural type) refers to a real difference in bone length between the two legs.
It can be congenital (present at birth) or acquired after injuries such as fractures. When the bone heals, one leg may remain slightly shorter or longer than the other. Since it’s a bone issue, It can’t be corrected with therapy or exercise.
Functional leg length discrepancy happens when the legs are the same length but look uneven due to posture or muscle imbalance. It’s often caused by pelvic tilt, scoliosis, or tight muscles from poor daily habits. This type is usually reversible with proper stretching, posture correction, or physical therapy.
AMCT spinal adjustment is a chiropractic technique that uses precise mechanical impulses to correct spinal misalignments. It is painless, highly effective, and has a low recurrence rate. It’s helpful for individuals with functional leg length discrepancy and various spinal-related conditions.
True leg length discrepancy cannot be significantly improved through treatment.
It can only be managed externally with custom insoles or orthopedic shoes to balance weight distribution and reduce pain or discomfort. In contrast, functional leg length discrepancy can be improved using AMCT spinal adjustment technology, which helps realign displaced joints and restore proper muscle tension for better balance and posture.
Frozen Shoulder
Frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis) is a condition where the shoulder joint becomes stiff, painful, and difficult to move.
It often develops gradually and may result from shoulder inflammation, injury, or long periods of immobility. People between the ages of 40–60 are most commonly affected. Shoulder joint is the most flexible joint in the body. When it is overused, injured, or affected by aging, the soft tissues may become inflamed, leading to stiffness, pain, and limited mobility.
Frozen shoulders can be divided into two types: primary and secondary.
Primary frozen shoulder is usually related to aging and natural joint degeneration. Secondary frozen shoulder caused by injuries, inflammation, overuse, or other underlying conditions.
People with frozen shoulders often find it hard to move their arms freely.
Acupuncture helps improve blood flow, relax muscles, relieve pain, and restore shoulder movement. When combined with herbal medicine, recovery can be faster.
Needle-knife therapy is a safe, minimally invasive treatment that uses a special blade-shaped needle to loosen tight muscles and release adhesions, helping the shoulder move more freely.
De Quervain disease
De Quervain’s disease is common among middle-aged women and postpartum mothers. It’s usually caused by improper or repetitive wrist movements, such as bending the wrist too much or overextending the thumb while holding a baby. This can lead to pain, weakness, or swelling near the base of the thumb and wrist, sometimes with tightness in the forearm. People who use their wrists frequently and for long hours—such as office workers, hairstylists, massage therapists, and cashiers—are also at high risk and should take extra care: ① Bank tellers or accountants who repeatedly count money or record transactions. ② Factory workers performing the same hand motions for long periods. ③ Office workers who use a mouse for many hours. ④ Writers who hold a pen for long durations. ⑤ Waiters who use their thumbs to support trays for extended periods. |
TCM manual therapy helps relax muscles and relieve pain along the meridians.
Acupuncture reduces swelling and pain, and herbal medicine that promotes circulation can enhance recovery.
Neck and shoulder pain
With the frequent use of digital devices, more people are suffering from neck and shoulder stiffness or pain.
The cervical spine now endures up to five times more pressure than normal, and when the muscles around the neck and shoulders lose their balance, it can lead to stiffness, soreness, and fatigue.
Neck and shoulder pain isn’t just from tight muscles.
Acupuncture can relax sore points, and herbal medicine helps improve blood flow to reduce pain.
We also provides a special herbal patch that helps relieve and improve neck and shoulder discomfort.
Sciatica
Lower back pain is very common and often linked to sciatica, a symptom caused by pressure on the sciatic nerve, usually on one side.
Typical signs include pain in the lower back, buttocks, or legs, which becomes worse when sitting, bending, coughing, or sneezing. It may come with numbness, tingling, or leg weakness.
TCM manual therapy can quickly relieve discomfort, but sciatica develops over time and needs regular treatment for lasting results.
Herbal medicine and acupuncture can further support recovery and pain relief.
Headache
Headaches are divided into two types.
Primary headaches: These are not caused by other illnesses and make up about 90% of all headache cases. Common examples include migraine, tension, and cluster headaches, often linked to muscle tension, poor circulation, or stress.
Secondary headaches: Caused by other health problems like stroke, high blood pressure, or infection.
If you experience sudden or unusual headaches, it is important to see a doctor for proper diagnosis.
Headaches can be caused by wind-cold, wind-heat, dampness, liver yang rising, phlegm, or blood stasis.
Treatment is personalized through herbal medicine and acupuncture, based on each person’s body condition to restore balance and relieve pain.
