Bloating

Common symptoms include:

Upper abdominal pressure: Feeling tight or heavy in the stomach due to excess gas.

Nausea: Too much gas in the stomach may cause nausea, chest tightness, or mild stomach pain.

Burping or flatulence: As the digestive tract tries to release trapped gas, burping become more frequent.

Treatment focuses on regulating digestive function, dispersing dampness, and promoting qi flow to improve gut health.

Daily care tips include eating slowly, avoiding gas-producing foods, and massaging acupoints such as Zhongwan (CV12), Neiguan (PC6), and Zusanli (ST36) to aid digestion.

Skin allergies

There are two types:

① Contact type: caused by repeated exposure to certain substances that trigger an allergic reaction on the skin.

② Non-contact type: includes dermatitis or eczema, often with itching, redness, dryness, swelling, or blisters, and may also be triggered by seasonal changes.

In TCM, most skin allergies are believed to stem from a weakened constitution and low body resistance.

Allergies are classified into acute and chronic stages.

Treatment focuses on finding the root cause, improving lifestyle and diet, and using personalized herbal therapy to restore balance and strengthen immunity.

Allergic rhinitis

Common symptoms include red or itchy eyes, tearing, runny nose, sneezing, nasal congestion, itchy throat, cough, dark circles, mouth breathing, facial or eye pressure, headache, and reduced sense of smell.

If left untreated, it may cause sleep issues, nosebleeds, sinusitis, or ear infections, ect.

In TCM, the lungs, spleen, and kidneys play key roles in regulating the body’s balance. Allergy treatment focuses on balancing these three systems, as strengthening lung, spleen, and kidney qi helps symptoms fade and prevents relapse.

It can be combined with Sanfu Plaster therapy, where herbal patches are applied to back acupoints during summer’s hottest days.
This helps boost immunity, dispel cold, and reduce allergies, especially for those who can’t take many medications.

Sleep disorders

Sleep disorders are closely related to the function of various organs in the body.

They may be caused by excess heart or liver fire, yin deficiency, poor diet, digestive issues, irregular routine, stress, emotions, or hormonal imbalance (especially in menopausal women).

Common causes include:

① Mental factors: anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, or high stress.

② Behavioral factors: overthinking or worrying about not being able to sleep.

③ Physical conditions: restless leg syndrome, frequent urination at night, or sleep apnea.

④ Lifestyle or medication issues: caffeine, nicotine, overeating before bed, acid reflux, chronic pain, or heart-lung problems.

⑤ Disrupted body clock: jet lag, night shifts, or poor sleep habits.

⑥ Primary insomnia: with no specific or identifiable cause.

With a professional TCM diagnosis, the root cause of insomnia can be identified and treated through personalized herbal prescriptions.

Acupuncture and acupoint massage further help improve sleep quality.

Treating the condition from its root is the key to achieving lasting relief from sleep disorders.

Body constitution balancing

In TCM, a person’s body constitution is classified based on their physical traits, common symptoms, mental state, and illness tendencies.

According to the 2009 classification by the China Association of Chinese Medicine, there are nine major types: Balanced type,Qi-deficient type, Yang-deficient type, Yin-deficient type,Phlegm-damp type,Damp-heat type, Blood-stasis type, Qi-stagnation type, Allergic (special) type.

In TCM, body constitutions are usually divided into nine types, but our clinic simplifies them into five main categories for easier assessment.

Our professional TCM practitioners will identify your body type and provide personalized herbal or tea remedies to restore balance and improve overall well-being.

Autonomic nervous system imbalance

The autonomic nervous system controls the body’s automatic functions through the sympathetic (active) and parasympathetic (resting) systems.

When these lose balance, autonomic nervous system imbalance occurs, causing symptoms like anxiety, insomnia, fatigue, chest tightness, palpitations, muscle pain, headaches, or digestive issues.

In clinical TCM practice, treatment begins with understanding each person’s body constitution and condition, followed by herbal therapy to regulate qi and blood, supported by acupuncture and acupoint massage to enhance recovery.
